Organic landcare is the only responsible way to care for our landscapes.
Chemical fertilizers ,herbicides and pesticides are hazardous
to our children, pets, ourselves, wildlife and delicate  Cape Cod ecosystem, waterways, marshes and bays.

Having a sign on my lawn that says "KEEP CHILDREN AND PETS OFF" is not acceptable!
Organic land care can reverse the harm that has been done and can actually bring the land back to a
sustainable living landscape, saving water and money and recycling  valuable resources.

Organic slow release fertilizers, actively aerated compost teas, high grade compost, vermicompost (from worms).
and mulches can do wonders!!
I provide all of these services and feel great about doing so!
I want my child and pets to be able to play in the back yard without the fear of being exposed to harmful chemicals.

WHY USE COMPOST TEA?
Compost tea is used for two reasons:  To inoculate microbial life into the soil or onto the foliage of plants, and add soluble nutrients to
the foliage, or to the soil, to feed the organisms or the plants present. The use of compost tea is suggested any time the organisms
in the soil or on the plants are not at optimum levels. Chemical-based pesticides, fungicides, herbicides and some synthetic fertilizers
kill a wide range of beneficial microorganisms that normally encourage plant growth, while teas improve the life in the soil and on plant surfaces.
High quality compost tea will inoculate the leaf surface and soil with beneficial microorganisms, instead of destroying them.

WHAT IS COMPOST TEA?
Compost tea is a liquid produced by leaching soluble nutrients and extracting bacteria, fungi, protozoa  and nematodes from
compost.

BENEFITS OF USING COMPOST TEA INCLUDE:
Improve plant growth as a result of protecting plant surfaces with beneficial organisms which occupy infected sites and
prevent disease-causing organisms from finding the plant.

Improve plant growth as a result of improving nutrient retention in the soil, and therefore reducing fertilizer use and loss of nutrients
in the ground and surface waters.

Improve plant nutrition by increasing nutrient availability in the root system as predator-prey interactions increase plants available
nutrients in exactly the right place, time and amount that the plant needs.

Reduce the negative impacts of chemical-based pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers on beneficial microorganisms
in the ecosystem.

Reduce water loss, improve water-holding in the soil, thus reduce water use in your system.

Improve tillage by building better soil structure.

HARVARD YARD HAS GONE GREEN !

Harvard University has started the use of compost tea on the world famous Harvard Yard.
Now safe for  lounging, studying etc. There are no chemicals or pesticides used any more.
Reducing water usage by one third, thus saving tons of money and water annually.

If they think it's a smart idea, then I will have to agree, they're no fools !
